 ABOUT

In  October of 2017, 200 women from the New Orleans' Jewish Community gathered for a special evening of unity at the Mega Challah Bake 200! Due to popular demand, we will once again hold this event on Wednesday, November 13th, 2019.

Join us for the Mega Challah Bake 250! Unite with Jewish women from throughout the community and participate in a fun filled inspirational evening. Discover the ancient art of Challah making from scratch with a new recipe for this year! Learn the best braiding techniques and the meaning behind this Biblical Mitzvah. The event will also include a social intermission with elegant refreshments (light dinner) and wine to enjoy while the dough rises.

Realize you KNEAD to be there, and get ready to ROLL in the dough!

Ingredients and utensils will be provided for making challah dough that evening.  All attendees will receive a complimentary apron to take home as well as the two beautifully shaped challahs they crafted to bake in their own ovens.

In 2017 registration reached capacity a week prior to the event so don't delay purchasing your tickets!
